Photography is fun. I got into it years ago, first with film in the 1990s and then playing around with digital, and taking the chance to get some neat shots. I loved to take each camera on new adventures, finding new angles and revealing awe, showing others what I see. Favorite subjects include landscapes, flora/fauna (especially the big, roaring kind), and intricate man-made structures. As a Bay Area native, there is a focus on Northern California, but I've also had the pleasure to travel a good amount for both work and play.
I'm also an orthopaedic surgery resident, which tends to dominate my schedule, but love to make time for traveling, biking, sports, and being outdoors. Don't worry, no x-rays will be posted.
Zion NP. Angel's Landing, which seems so mighty and occasionally terrifying (at least for those afraid of heights), peeks up in the middle of the valley, as seen from the rim.
Gorgeous, and very isolated. Water, food, and appropriate gear are a must. There isn't anyone out here to help you if you run into trouble.
The Narrows make for an excellent adventure, when the conditions permit. Rent water shoes and a walking stick. Don't be afraid of falling.
